Too Big to Fail: The Rise of Mega-Banks

As the mega-banks take up most of the market in the United States, you may recall when banks had many different names, paid a decent rate of return on your money, and weren’t hocking credit cards to their customers. Those were the good ol’ days–when banks did not help the launder money for the drug cartels and walk away with only a slap on the wrist.

Click on the picture above to see which bank gobbled-up many of the smaller banks, and how 37 become 4 Mega-Banks.

As you watch this video about United States Attorney General Eric Holder, it is important to know that about a year ago he decided not to prosecute HSBC for laundering money for Mexican drug cartels.
